Artist’s Statement:

“I’m interested in what lies below the surface: The layers that make the surface complete but aren’t necessarily visible to the ephemeral gaze - the once over. Much like getting to know a person deeply: I’m drawn to those who promise complexity of character - a rich stew of experience and intellect and a joy in experience: A lush life.

Architecture is often my frame of reference: All the inner workings, the design, the structure, the context to the surrounding environment, the plumbing, the accessibility, the careful interior design created with a gourmet vocabulary of personal luxuries and

stimuli - all carefully concealed in the architecture that is simultaneously

awe-inspiring and humbling. And the windows, the lights, the moving shadows of intentional lives behind the shades. I’m curious about them.

The brilliance they suggest.
